Illinois Most Facist State in Union?

In addition to their recent call for the National guard to patrol the streets (effectively martial law), they've also introduced several new gun control proposals in their state.

HB 180:
http://ilga.gov/legislation/BillSta...0&DocTypeID=HB&LegID=40197&SessionID=76&GA=96
Basically addes ANOTHER license in order to sell handguns, because the federal license and the FOIDC requirement aren't enough. Also PROHIBITS private sales without a license.

HB 5480:
http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/bil...0&GA=96&DocTypeID=HB&LegID=50534&SessionID=76
Makes it illegal to make a private sale (except to family members) at a location other then a licensed firearms dealer or gun show.

HB 5495:
http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/bil...0&GA=96&DocTypeID=HB&LegID=50564&SessionID=76
Gun rationing. One handgun per month.

HB 5751:
http://ilga.gov/legislation/billsta...0&GA=96&DocTypeID=HB&LegID=51102&SessionID=76
Makes it a felony to own a 50 caliber firearm (vague wording can include shotguns and muzzle loaders as well), a "large capacity magazine", or a as yet undefined "assault weapon" 90 days after passage.

HB 5849
http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/Bil...0&DocTypeID=HB&LegId=51468&SessionID=76&GA=96
Makes it illegal to transport a firearm in anything but a "approved" container. No specification of what is "approved".

So.... they ask the National guard to come in because crime is so high, and also are trying to disarm the citizens? Isn't that standard MO for a dictator?

Can't they have the National Guard operate under Police rules? If they are going to patrol the streets give them directives that correspond with Police operations.

Illinois is a dictatorship. the state is run by Daley and the chicago machine. Daleys lawsuits against the gun manufacturers is going nowhere, so now he wants a change of venue.......to the world court.

I'd just like to point out that people submit bills all the time that aren't passed. The national guard isn't going to be deployed and none of these bills are probably even going to get a committee vote.

The NG bit, yeah that's not going to happen. But the passage of those bills very well may. IL is very draconian with regards to guns.
