I remember when every person that attended Church dressed in their finest....every passenger on an airplane filght, dressed a degree better than "casual".....
That meant clean, pressed slacks for men and dresses for women.....
Now people think that their shorts if only worn for 5 days in row are clean enough for Church and don't notice the person next to them on a flight stinks because of
their own BO....yeah....enlightened.....
When a man's pants crotch is dragging on the ground or a girls levies has holes in the knees its what we now call dressed....progress my ass.....

The U.S. averages over 30 rapes per 100,000. Most Muslim countries are well under 5.

I don't see why this isn't credible. Those are tightly controlled countries, that are basically run by their religions.

In many Muslim countries, rape is common but the idea that there should be four witnesses to prove the rape can be hard to produce as rape can take place when the aggressor and the victim are totally alone.
Some women prefer not to report the rapist for fear of scandal as sex outside marriage or rape is seen as dishonouring their family.

One of the issues that people protesting in New Delhi want to highlight is how the police there usually ignore sexual crimes perpetrated on and by the poor, they are only interested in the rich and well connected. Most police are corrupt as hell, this may be news to some but not to anyone who has spent any time in India.

I've had Christians tell me that Jesus was more violent than his popular image, and cite his riding in w/ a bloody sword in Revelation. Christianity has also been spread w/ war & violence throughout history.

The plain fact is, most adherents to both Islam & Christianity are peace-loving people who keep their religion private. It's the extremists that always use it for a political agenda.
