If you own a business in Florida…

Pretty whataboutish.

whataboutism is the democrats attempt to deflect.

Other amusement parks in Florida do not have "special" deals from the government. Everyone should compete on a level playing field. Disney played in politics and politicians played back. Disney shareholders should be pissed at Disney leadership. Disney should stick to entertainment and stay out of politics..

LOL

the irony of a bunch of liberals full of hate decrying floridas actions to quell 'misinformation' when over the last year they did the same thing about covid 'misinformation'

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

The best part of this is the same Democrats that decry big corporations not paying their "fair share" of taxes and such are now the ones siding with Disney for having a deal with Florida for half-a-century not to pay their fair share of taxes and such...

Agreed. Remember these posts about lib'ruls attacking businesses and Chik-fil-a? How times change, eh? :rofl2:

Chik-fil-a, Hobby Lobby, NFL, Goya, Fox News........I recall lib'ruls boycotting entire states for conventions and business events over gay marriage issues.......
It's pretty clear. I'll expand.

Merriam-Webster notes that to "cancel", as used in this context, means "to stop giving support to that person"[2] while Dictionary.com, in its pop-culture dictionary, defines cancel culture as "withdrawing support for (canceling) public figures and companies after they have done or said something considered objectionable or offensive."

The notion of cancel culture is a variant on the term call-out culture and constitutes a form of boycotting involving an individual (usually a celebrity) who is deemed to have acted or spoken in a questionable or controversial manner.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cancel_culture

It's a form of boycotting, like boycotting Chik-Fil-A and Target, for example. If someone says something awful, naturally some people will stop supporting them.

Now back to my question, is that a form of fascism as you consistently claim?
I've gone over this before -1 more time then.
~~
there is a significant difference to boycotts and canceling.

Boycotts are used to change behaviors - like boycotting companies that did business in South Africa until they divested. as they divested, the boycotts came off

cancelling is banning, and in most cases making sure that ban is a permanent cancel to employment or speech.
There is no interest in changing behaviors, just punishment by those who have power

No one is ignoring state law, Einstein, but simply offering up an opinion. One in which, our first amendment, allows anyone.

Wrong. The $5 million Disney has put out to try to undo the law is not an "opinion"; IT IS ACTION.

And they got bitch slapped for it, as well they should have.

Disneyland has been in Florida for 50 years and no Republican on this board has ever complained about them until they last six weeks.

That's how you know this situation has been totally engineered by Desantis to evoke phony outage from the MAGA fat asses.

It's the political equivalent of a Pavlov's dogs experiment

Trump has been in the public eye since the 70s and no one ever said he was racist or assaulted women until he was elected

That's how you know it was totally engineered by the Dims

[h=1]Thread: If you own a business in Florida…[/h]

"then fuck you" is my finish to the sentence.

Florida is our own little piece of North Korea.
Although the residents deserve it more.
Who gave them the SPECIAL tax break that NO ONE ELSE GETS? Florida

Well they can take it away...if u are in Orlando and dont like it...move to San Fran

it would be different if 5 other business were getting the same breaks but only Disney lost the break
