There is ALWAYS a presumption of innocence until PROVEN guilty. Someone charged is not compelled to PROVE their innocence. That is for those making the charge to prove.
Impeachment is about Treason, high crimes and misdemeanors as clearly defined within the Constitution. It does not say that impeachment can be a purely partisan political claim based on nothing more than the party out of power doesn't like an election result.
