If Trump sold Top Secret documents to Russia...

Washington(CNN) Special counsel John Durham, the Donald Trump-era prosecutor hunting for wrongdoing in the Trump-Russia investigations, came up empty Tuesday after a federal jury returned a not guilty verdict in his first major case against a Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer.

The lawyer, Michael Sussmann, was acquitted on charges of lying to the FBI at a fall 2016 meeting where he passed along a tip about Trump's ties to Russia. In many ways, the trial was a proxy battleground to relitigate the most heated moments of the 2016 election, and was a crucial test of Durham's theory that Clinton allies broke the law with their anti-Trump opposition research.

Trump said there were "no guns whatsoever" at the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol and that "people with no guns" walked down to the Capitol.

Court records and news reports show that many insurrectionists were armed, and several were charged with having firearms on Capitol grounds or stashed nearby while in Washington D.C. In addition, rioters had weapons other than firearms and used them during the attack.

It would not be surprising if he traded top secrets to Russia in exchange for all the money that he allegedly owes them.

Executing Trump would only make him a martyr among the trumpanzees. Lock him up in Mir-A-Lago until he dies--without internet or telephone service.

The Justice Department, not "the Left" raised the prospect of espionage, and espionage by the former highest official in the government infers treason. Nor does the Left "think little" of the classified documents issue.
Democrats were loudly not buying the desperate claim from Trump that he declassified the documents without telling anyone until the warrant told us of the higher crimes being weighed. What is notable in all this is "how little" the Right thinks of it.
