If they were afraid…

If 19 armed police inside PLUS 150 police outside, were afraid to engage ONE 18 year-old with an AR-15, the only solution is to ban AR-15 style rifles, period!

Absolutely, however, had this been an affluent community, the cops would NOT have waited outside and let those kids and teachers die. They would have been ordered to rush in. The cops in Uvalde just didn't want to risk being late for dinner, dying for Hispanic kids and teachers. I'm certain of it. Had the kids been richer or whiter, many more of them would still be alive.

I own several firearms, not one of which is remotely like an AR-15.
There is no rational excuse for private ownership of that type of weapon,
and no sane, sincere argument to refute that.

But there's not a fucking thing that we can do about it. Not one fucking thing.
A new constitution means a new country, and nobody has the balls to go that far.
People still look for moderate solutions for radical problems, and they fall closer and closer to complete dystopia because of that.
Cowardice rarely brings a good result.

It's no different than a Glock semi-auto handgun. Just a bigger skeerier looking gun -- same functionality. Does the same exact thing.

My daughter's .40 cal Glock holds, I believe, 14 or fifteen rounds.
That's a police weapon. Civilians don't need those, either.

My Colt Gold Cup's magazine holds seven .45 cal rounds.
That's a reasonable civilian defense firearm.
But I don't walk around with it everywhere like some pussy.

Pistols are less accurate than rifles at range, and assault rifles made for the civilian market can be equipped with 30 round high capacity ammo clips to make the slaughter more lethal and efficient.

Both have the same functionality, SEMI-automatic You push a button each time a bullet is fired.

There are no legal machine guns, you know the ones which spray bullets.

There are legal machine guns. I think they can't have been made since 1986 or so (don't take that as gospel)

What I do know is Americans can't own M249 SAWs and M4s such as Biden gave thousands of to the Taliban.

IOW, the Taliban has a fuckton of modern American military guns that the citizens of America paid for, but cannot own themselves legally.

Something's wrong here.

I would think it's time to examine why we pay police, brah. :dunno:

This situation demonstrates why the primary purpose of law enforcement is strictly policing. The mere presence of uniformed officers in the community is a large deterrent to everyday crime.

As for actually stopping an active shooter in progress... Clearly we are seeing deficiencies in that area.

Ever consolidate your rage? Jesus man, organize your shit.

then stop fucking around and ban them, then YOU come personally, along with Beto, and come get them.

Why? America is not being careful with my children.

If you cared so much you wouldn't have sat back and watched the disintegration of the nuclear family and said nothing. That is the core issue here but Progressives like you are incapable of ever understanding that.

Salvador Ramos, the shooter in Uvalde had rowed with his mother and grandmother because they wouldn't let him smoke marijuana, that's the 'grand motive' but no mainstream media appears to want to say as much.

A look at Thailand's fervent gun culture
Widely known as a welcoming tourist destination, Thailand is also a country awash with easily obtainable firearms, featuring one of the highest gun homicide rates in Asia. DW examines why gun ownership remains so high.

Thailand has the highest reported rate of gun-related deaths in Southeast Asia - almost 50 percent more gun homicides than the Philippines. With 7.48 registered violent gun deaths per 100,000 people, the rate is also twice as high as that of the US, which had 3.55 deaths per 100,000 people in 2013, according to data provided by the University of Washington's Institute for Health and Metric Evaluation.

As the US State Department's Bureau for Diplomatic Security wrote in its 2013 safety report for overseas staff: "Thailand has a fervent gun culture on par with the United States and has become a world leader in firearms-related homicides."

So what laws would you suggest to “protect” the “nuclear family”?
