Let's get this discussion on track for once.

We're not talking about protesting police violence against African Americans.
That's a serious problem in itself.
But we're actually not talking about protesting at all. The attack on the capitol wasn't a protest.

We're talking about an attempted overthrow of the government of the United States.
Whether the aggressor is foreign or domestic doesn't make a damned bit of difference .
We don't get upset because somebody attacking our country was shot, no matter who it might be.
We have a legal way of changing the government, elections, and we just had a completely legitimate one.

Comparisons between BLM and the trumpanzee revolution are either disingenuous or incredibly stupid.

Her intentions were probably pretty benign, but the Capitol Police did not know her, who she was or what her intentions were.

She was a threat to the people it was their duty to protect and as such, they eliminated that threat.

Given her background, she should have known the peril she was putting herself in.

What am I missing? A person attempting to interfere with the certification of a legitimate election, i.e., attempting to overthrow the government of the United States, was shot, just as any combatant,
which is what he was, not a protestor, might be shot. He wasn't tortured. He wasn't beheaded. He was shot in the process of an attempted violent revolution.

Where is the grievance here? Does one go into a revolutionary battle without the expectation that one might be shot?

Stupid analogy. What does her being a AF vet have to do with anything? She was involved in a violent federal crime in which 5 people including herself and a capital police officer died. No sport being a vet does not give one the right to break the law.
