Holy shit, you are even stupider than I am. IF WE DEFAULT, oil will no longer be traded in dollars, AND we will have lost our good credit rating (it is on the fence even as we speak).

IF WE DEFAULT, it will be because the President chose to default. Even without raising the debt ceiling we will have enough money to service our debt. Period.

I am not making any crap up. The Cut, Cap, and Balance Act would mandate DEEP and massive cuts in education, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and other programs that meet crucial national needs.

And there ARE plans put forward that would do this,The Republican Study Committee budget, which eliminates 70 percent of non-defense discretionary funding by 2021, contains deeper Medicare cuts than the Ryan budget, cuts Medicaid, food stamps, and Supplemental Security Income for the elderly and disabled poor in half by the end of the decade, and raises the Social Security retirement age to 70.

Do you read what you write? By 2021? That is absolutely not instantaneous. Your illusion falters even in your own posts. I don't even have to argue anymore because you, yourself, provided my argument for me. There have been zero plans that eliminate any of this instantaneously as you proclaimed earlier. None, not one.

And pretending that Standard and Poors is willing to continue to give a Aaa rating to the US when they show no urge to curb debt and actually pay principal is flat stupid. We cannot afford this crippling mutation of Keynesian principles for much longer. I hope, really I do, that you make it part of your party platform that fiscal responsibility is "evil". Please, please, please, make it part of your platform that endless increasing debt is the way to go.

I "forgot" nothing, my point was that there was zero plans put forward that make any immediate cuts at the level you hopefully imagine and therefore believe. Your post itself was enough evidence that I was correct. You can proclaim whatever you want, but you've argued yourself into fail. I don't particularly care to continue a conversation with somebody who would rather believe in imaginary goblins than what his own sources actually state.

I also find it interesting that your sacred cow is decimated by Obamacare, but that's all good for you...

That's fine Damo...keep on believing you what you support is actually human. Tell me Damo, in 2021 will human beings no longer age, retire and live on fixed incomes? The Teabagger Republicans are trying to END Medicare and any other social program they can, and you support it with your GROSS ignorance or avoidance. What you support is the most ideologically extreme pieces of major budget legislation to come before Congress. It is not moderate, bipartisan or compassionate, it is cruel, stupid and dangerous. It is a multi-faceted attack on the federal government.

But believe it or deny it Damo, what are YOUR beliefs? I am always willing to wear my heart on my sleeve. IF Republicans could end Medicare would YOU care? If you would care, why?
