If the election were today and the nominees were, Romney v. Obama v. write in canidate, your choice, who would you vote for?

Thanks Socreates, I forgot to ask that those who vote for write in canidate to please name that canidate.

IF Gary Johnson could get on all 50 ballots, I would vote for him over Romney and Obama. Otherwise Romney would get my vote. Unlike Obama, he at least understands what it takes for a business to work.

Yes...lay-off as many employees as you can, squeeze the rest till they squeak, increase profits! That's what we need -someone who knows how to put the American people out of work. Cause we haven't had enough of that yet!

I am going to vote for him too. I like his smile. It's colgate-white. Very pretty.

LOL.... how very liberal of you. That is not how you run a business. That is how businesses end up being run in a hostile and uncertain environment, like the one Obama has created. They are forced into that model you proclaim is evil. Every for-profit business is designed with the end goal of making money. If the threat is they are going to make less due to higher costs of regulation or higher taxation increasing their expenses, they are going to protect the business's bottom line. They have to. If they do not, everyone loses their jobs when the company goes under.

Tell me Darla... if all you hear is that YOUR business NEEDS to be taxed more, but no policy is yet in place... what would YOU do? Would you keep spending the same? Or would you start to set more cash aside to prepare for potential higher taxes down the road? Would you jump out and hire more employees? Or would you wait to see what the outcome of policy decisions is?

I DO NOT CARE, AS LONG AS YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT WORD I INTENDED! IN FACT I REJECT THE IDEA THAT THERE IS A CORRECT/INCORRECT WAY TO SPELL.

"I never had any large respect for good spelling. That is my feeling yet. Before the spelling-book came with its arbitrary forms, men unconsciously revealed shades of their characters and also added enlightening shades of expression to what they wrote by their spelling, and so it is possible that the spelling-book has been a doubtful benevolence to us."
- Mark Twain's Autobiography

"Why, there isn't a man who doesn't have to throw out about fifteen hundred words a day when he writes his letters because he can't spell them! It's like trying to do a St. Vitus dance with wooden legs."
- The Alphabet and Simplified Spelling speech, December 9, 1907

Before standardized spelling, the written word had a different artistic element to it that has been removed. Writers often spelled things differently to convey different meanings or shades of irony or even emotion of the writer. Handwriting was also used that way, but the advent of computers has removed that element, now we can use different fonts, but that is not as expressive as handwriting once was. Our puritanical idea of right/wrong has taken over and removed the individual from the creative process. When I write legal documents, I use spell check and consider my grammer very carefully, when I communicate via written word for pleasure, I disregard the rules. I understand the need for standardization in some areas of communication, this is not one of those areas and I feel no need to comform to your ideas about what is the Correct way to spell.

Ironic that you were able to spell almost everything correctly in the paragraph above.

It is weard how it works with me. One day I can spell very well, the next I am awfull. Some complex words I spell very well while simple ones I cant get. Some days for the life of me I cant spell shoe, that one always gets me. I have noticed it can depend on if I am tired, but thats not always it.
