If someone (Comey) is orchestrating the release of the leaks...

What information have you learned from Comey's leak?

I have heard that there is strong evidence that Rump tried to shut down the Flynn investigation. That Rump sent everyone out of the room for a private conversation with Comey and addressed a specific investigation that Comey was directly leading and asked/told him to back off of it.

Why didn't Comey immediately report this horrendous attempt at obstruction? Was he part of the sinister plot?

Who should he have reported this to? Jeff Sessions, who had recused himself, The deputy director who Flynn had just fired, Republicans in Congress who were protecting Rump?

There is no set procedure for this, but I suspect... Comey put it in the report he was going to eventually present to the AG and Congress but did not want to make it public for fear of allowing it to affect the Agents who were actively persueing the investigation, he was protecting them.

That was one of my first questions and I would like to hear other former agents explain the ins and outs of it. The point is that Comey DID write the memo when he said he did and shared it with other higher ups at the FBI. If this comes down to Comeys word v. Rumps... who has a better reputation for honesty?

Is your position that Comey would not know who to report an obstruction of justice attempt by the POTUS? Yes or No.

It is my position that at that time there was nobody to report it to...

It is also my position that FBI agents don't dribble out evidence in pieces they take months, sometimes years, then compile a full report to give to the Justice Department with a recommendation. It seems you don't understand how it works.

There was nobody in the position that he should report to, until 4 days before he was fired. The word is that Comey had a contentious meeting with Rosenstein and was fired two days later.
It sure makes the timing of Comey's firing suspicious.

Who do you thing he should have reported it to?

Why do you think that would have made a difference in the information in the memo?

wow, what a stunning political analysis by Jarod. I am floored by it.

What is shocking to me is that the actual leaking isn't what bothers Jarod. As long as it is damaging Trump, the longer term repercussions matter little to him. He is childlike thinking this is happening in a vacuum.

I will say that leaking is like the filibuster. The only side that is ever in favor of it is the side that is benefitting at the time. Maybe Jarod doesn't recognize that?

If Obama or Clinton were the subjects of the leaks, this would be you and your right-wing drool bucket accomplices....

The IG might have been a good start.

But let's hope that Comey's defense is that he had no one to report a Presidential attempt at obstructing justice to.

it was not the final piece of evidence in the case asshole

its still being investigated

they don't broadcast every piece when they find it
