Quarks were theorized to exist in the early 1960s. The first experimental confirmations of quarks came from particle accelerators demonstrating that protons and neutrons were made up of smaller elementary subatomic particles, aka the quarks.

You need to explain why you are referring to the tests as somehow being "confirmations of quarks", especially considering that no quark was ever observed or detected or discovered ... especially considering that science never confirms anything. You owe an explanation and hopefully one that is better than your standard assertion that your mere declaration makes something so.
