Take into account my recent thread about my friend being abused. Considering the majority, hell - everyone - who had little or no understanding of why these things happen were on the right, I think it's safe to say the are ill-informed if not just plain ignorant. (note, however, there were a few righties who had a good knowledge of abuse)

Maybe it is because we come from stable households where domestic violence is less prevalent. I would never dream of striking my lovely wife.

Maybe these "alternative" lifestyles you lefties increase the incidence of domestic violence which is why you lefties are so familiar with it. It is clear that your friend shacking up has not been good for her. Did boyfriend watch Super Bowl reruns on the NFL Network because we know lefties think the Super Bowl is a cause of domestic violence.?

I have seen studies where domestic violence is much higher in the queer community than normal folks.

Yeah, me too. And LBJ is a great example; even with some of the social programs that he helped implement, the bad that he did (Vietnam) was so egregious, imo, that it overshadows his good accomplishments almost completely. His legacy is Vietnam, at least to me.

I was not saying he was racist. I don't believe him to be any more or less racist than the rest of us. I don't believe him to be a racist. Race had nothing to do with my post at all.

You may be correct, but even if what you say is true about President Obama, that's different than the cowboy mentality of GWB that I was talking about. GWB did not how popular he was, or listen to the American people. GWB decided things were black or white, good or evil and went about responding to the world from that place, with an unwillingness to compromise or consider that he may be wrong. In fact its the opposite of what you describe about President Obama.
