If Biden does not run...

Biden accomplished the one thing I wanted him to accomplish on inauguration day. Anything more, like having the balls to end Afghanistan, is icing on the cake. I do not love him, I do not think he is the man to get much of what we need accomplished.

If he does not run, below is a list of candidates who I think could accomplish more than Biden can.

Pete Buttigieg, Kamila Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Roy Cooper and Gretchen Whitmer.

For pure electability, I like Roy Cooper and Gretchen Whitmer.

For being close to my ideology I like Buttigieg and Harris.

For being able to get stuff done I like Klobuchar and Cooper.

What do you think? Who do you like or not like?

On the Republican side, what do you think? (I like Nikki Haley)

I don't support any of the centrist/conservative Democrats you mentioned.

Who would you support if Biden declines to run?

If Andrew Yang runs again, I'd like him to get more support, honestly I'd like the two person ticket (prez and vice) to be decided early, find two great candidates to join forces so to speak. Like if Bernie and Warren had joined up early on I think their numbers could have outperformed Biden by himself.

I'll vote for Biden again in a heartbeat against any of the current Republican party. There's no way in hell they'll nominate anyone that has a shred of common sense. Their whole pool of contenders are either conspiracy theorists at best, and totally off the deep end religious fascists at worst.

I like Bernie and Warren, I just wish they were both younger.

Yang created a new third party. He’s a very interesting guy to listen to and he’s not going to win the Presidency but there’s a definitely element of refreshness (if that’s even a word) in listening to him.

There's a degree of ageism in that sentiment, but I get it. I think it was John Mulaney that said you shouldn't be allowed to order for the table when you're about to leave the restaurant.

Maybe its ageism, but I do not think people their age can relate to the new world as well.

Ron DeSantis and Tim Scott as VP

The other question too is if Biden does decide to run again, and continues to have poor/low polling numbers, will someone try to primary him? It's happened before with Ted Kennedy and Carter and Pat Buchanan and H.W. Bush. Neither of those Presidents who had primary opponents won re-election.

And if this is the scenario, who would try to primary him? Would it surprise you if it was Newsom? Not only is he running ads in Florida going after DeSantis but he's also called out the national Democratic Party for doing enough for progressive values. That sure sounds like someone not afraid to go against Biden.

I doubt anyone would primary him, it did not work out well for Kennedy or Buchanan.

I am not a Newsom fan, but he could. I think, short term, it would help the Democrats chances in the mid-term if Trump would announce his campaign for the Republican nomination before November.

As far as your list, I could support Amy Klobuchar, she would have the best chance on winning?!!

Need to get the old white men out of our politics, the presidency, house and senate too?!!

AOC would totally set the Republicans off.

I like Bernie, but he's getting old.

Elizabeth Warren would be a good choice. I like her.
