There's a two fold desire here.

Saying there's racism in America isn't good enough, the narrative needs to be America is a fundamentally flawed and racist country (see 1619 Project).

The other is P.O.C. who aren't Democrats and don't toe the appropriate line on racial issues need to be essentially punished.

Hard to describe otherwise why a white guy is so obsessed with this.

She has never made her ethnicity a secret. With her degree from Clemson University I seriously doubt she had to change her name to get a job.
