I didn't say he would be arrested on a gun charge.... I Just said that they could have easily arrested him... You should join the NRA then...

No, it wouldn't have been, you drug addled retard. Pretti resisted arrest and fought with the cops. If they arrested and booked him, they could have taken his firearm as evidence and locked it up. Local police would have done that 100% for certain. As part of a bail release, he would have been prohibited from carrying or possessing a firearm until his trial had the local cops been involved.

But local police were nowhere to be seen. It was just ICE on the scene, and both they and the federal government in general, have only limited means to deal with low-level crime and criminals like Pretti. So, Pretti got back on the street and thought his shit was golden because he got away with fighting the cops. That emboldened him to do it again, and he did only the second time he ended up being shot and killed.

Pretti fucked up and this situation is something like 90%+ his fault.
