Such authoritarian assholes in the past commonly used differing religious or racial minorities as the focal point for both Gaslighting and Projecting. They'd project the sins of the leader upon a smaller, weaker group portrays as the oppressors and the cause of all social problems. In Pedo Don's case, he's jumped on the Newt/Bush the Lesser/Tea Party/Evangelista band wagon of scapegoating "the scurrilous, wretched Libruls" who are, according to them, unfairly dominating this country and oppressing all 330M Americans with their evil plans.
Watching Pedo Don fans evolve into mass murders over the span of 8 years will be the focus of a lot of Masters and Doctoral theses after 2024.
Most JPP RWNJs are impotent old geezers who only send in a few bucks to support the overthrow of the United States and impose a White Supremacist state. The problem for them, IMO, will be that even their meager financial support contributed to the problem and, therefore, must be rectified.
Another factor is how nutjobs and insane ideas have equal weight on the Internet. Like any despotic form of society, a forum can become dominated by a few organized hateful people who are loud enough to drive others away. Anyone who stays is indoctrinated in White Supremacist ideology.

I strongly believe that these people are enemies of the Constitution of the United States of America and I support the American justice system to deal with them firmly and fairly.
