There are over 300 million Americans, but you’d never know it from the Beltway edition of the Almanach de Gotha:
CBS News President David Rhodes and ABC News President Ben Sherwood, both of them have siblings that not only work at the White House, that not only work for President Obama, but they work at the NSC on foreign policy issues directly related to Benghazi. Let’s call a spade a spade.

Let’s also show you why CNN did not go very far in covering these hearings because the CNN deputy bureau chief, Virginia Moseley, is married to Hillary Clinton’s deputy, Tom Nides.
After marrying her progeny into the royal houses of Germany, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Greece and Spain, Queen Victoria was known as the grandmother of Europe. The inbreeding among Obama’s court and its press corps is more like one of those “I’m my own grandpaw” deals.

If that is true, it is no wonder the major media outlets were so compliant.

LOL. Because Mitt Romney really tried really hard to make an issue of it, right? I mean, his first foray went swimmingly. And then the second debate went terrific for him on the Benghazi front.

It has nothing to do with Romney. It has to do with the media's relationship with the current President and their job is to hold the President accountable, not to follow him around like whipped puppies doing his bidding and selling his spin.

So the election season coverage of the presidential race has nothing to do with the issues the two candidates decide to talk about? That's really smart.

Was the media 'compliant' before Obama was President? Or are only Democrats supposed to be held accountable?

Fox has you believing that the media's job is to be sensationalistic and create their own headlines using conjecture, rumors and anonymous sources. It's the "new media."

That's not how journalism should work. What exactly should the media have been reporting on last fall?

So you wish to continue trying to divert this into something about how Romney handled it during the election rather than how the media failed the public?

LMAO... oh yes, the other cop out from the left... 'lets pretend he listens to Fox and then use our standard 'Fox is da evilz' to try and divert the topic'

This has nothing to do with wanting the media to be sensationalistic. It is about wanting them to be honest in holding the administration accountable. The media failed in its duty on this.

How did the media do in questioning invading Iraq back in 2002?

You tell me... did the media get the story right in those cases? Or did they fall in line with whatever Bush wanted them to believe?

Funny how liberals continue to run to the 'look at Bush' anytime Obama's admin is criticized.

Interesting that you are saying that I'm copping out, when you just did.

You didn't answer my question. Last fall - at a time when no real facts were known, there were no findings for any investigation, and rumors were running rampant - what exactly should the media have reported on (factually) to "do their job"?

So you are saying that journalists should just wait for the government to get their story straight before trying to find the answers? No such thing as investigative journalism?

You think they don't have contacts at the CIA that could have told them the admin was full of shit on their 'video caused it' line of crap?

You think they couldn't have found out that there were warnings months in advance about the need for more security?

Keep making excuses for them.

The biggest media failure in our lifetime was their failure to ask hard questions in the run up to the invasion of Iraq. A grand total of TWO former Knight-Ridder reporters bucked the U.S. media’s repetition of the Bush administration’s march-to-Iraq-war messaging. They published dissenting material, though their voices didn’t pierce the compliant noise from their peers.

Now They Tell Us

Buying The War

And you think there was time for this kind of investigation & corroboration between the event & election day, and that the media wasn't doing it's job because they didn't report on things as soon as they heard a rumor about them?

It took almost a year for the Watergate scandal to blow up, even though reporters had tips almost immediately, AND during an election year. We still don't know many of the facts on Benghazi. Not sure if you're familiar w/ the profession, but good, accurate reporting - especially when many of the details are classified - takes time.
