Idaho Collapsing Under Pandemic, But Still Not Getting Vaccinated

Walt

Back To Reality
All Idaho hospitals have been on "crisis standards" since September 16th. They have not only filled their own hospitals, but also Washington's hospitals. They have ended up sending patients to the majority of other states, while sending the bill for all this air traffic to the federal government. A patient (without health insurance, of course) was actually flown to NYC from Idaho. Chicago hospitals have gotten over a hundred Idaho patients.

You would think they would react to all this failure by reversing their positions and getting vaccinated, but no. Idahoans are still refusing to vaccinate.

Worse yet, they are attacking doctors and nurses for even implying they should get vaccinated.

If the Trumpoids want to eradicate themselves, let them.

Yeah, that’s great, but I live in Boise and got breakthrough COVID from my asymptomatic grandkids. They got it in their anti-vax school district.

I agree. Let the unvaxxed idiots die off, but I was sicker than hell for a couple weeks with longer to fully recover. I avoided the need for a doctor or hospital, but that bug was a bitch.

So, the unvaxxed still pose a risk to us all.

Sorry to hear about you getting ill with covid, and glad to see you back. The truth is that this anti-vax Bs is putting everybody at risk.

They’re talking about hospitalizations, too, you fucking moron. 34th might sound great, but if the infrastructure is not there to handle a lot fewer people, the hospitals still become overwhelmed. There’s only a few real population centers in the state. The rest is very rural.

The truth is, moron, they are rationing health care here, whether it be 10th, 20th or 50th.

THREAD ENDER mic drop baby!

Since September, there have been 81.2 deaths per 100,000 in Idaho, and only 9 deaths per 100,000 in New York. Idaho is literally 9 times worse, but it is even worse when you try to count those who have been sent out of state to die. The real number might be twice that.

Idaho is an epic failure... Or put another way, I cannot imagine someone with Covid-19 being flown from NYC to Idaho, can you?

Which given they are the fortieth in population means they are ahead of others, nice try

Probably, the only major hospitals are in the 5 or 6 population areas. There are few to no major hospitals and lots of distance in between. Lewiston and Idaho falls MIGHT have one major hospital each.

Coeur d’Alene, 120 miles to
Lewiston, 267 miles to
Boise, 120 miles to
Twin Falls, 113 miles to
Pocatello, 52 miles to
Idaho Falls

That’s it.

There is also a huge problem with just finding a doctor. Doctors do not like living in the countryside. They want their Chinese food, and schools for their children that teach math and science.

And if you have a serious medical problem anywhere else in the state, COVID or other, you head to one of those few population centers who have the facilities to handle it.

Meanwhile in RealityLand:

OCTOBER 20, 2021

ICU numbers have also decreased, but by a smaller margin of about 20% since a peak of 213 patients on Sept. 24. Monday’s ICU total was 171.

Calm down Wally, send them to the last state the alt lefties were screeching about, Florida, who has ignores federal guidelines and now ranks 48th and is doing just fine.

You're actively trying to unseat TDAK as the dumbest fucking poster on JPP, aren't you? Don't lie. I know you are.

Number of deaths per capita over the entire length of the pandemic is THE primary measure of success and failure.....as you should know.

As of 10/21:

Staffed adult ICU beds that were still available statewide, according to Idaho Department of Health and Welfare data: 15

Repeat:

15 staffed adult ICU beds STATEWIDE.

People who died in Idaho hospitals with confirmed or suspected COVID-19: 15 (previous day: 8)

There’s your reality, stupid fuck.
