I doubt it. I imagine they were thrilled. He's made some serious gaffes during the campaign season so his performance tonight should have energized them.Don't know if it will change the polls but Romney did a good job....
I wonder if any Right Wingers feel betrayed.
Obama didn't do to bad. Romney was aggressive and had a smoother, more relaxed presentation and Obama, surprisingly came off as stiff and slow. He kept pausing to think before he spoke and what he spoke mostly was boiler plate. Having said that, he did present more specifics and went into more policy detail than Romney. Romney was oddly Nixonian with his "I have a plan." but then provided no details as to what his plans actually are.
If Romney did one thing of significance last night is that he demonstrated he's not a right wing conservative ideologue. That was extremely important for him to do and what's more, I think he did that with out alienating conservatives. No mean feat.
But there were no big gaffes and and no knock out punches and it was pretty boring stuff for the most part. Though I think Romney had the better over all performance I think Obama certainly had the zinger of the night when he dogged Romney about his secret plans. I thought that was funny.
