ID laws halted becuase they are racist

It is illegal to carry a handgun without a permit in many states. The Constitution says nothing about carrying a handgun without/with a permit. Go try to use the 2nd amendment as a defense when you are convicted of illegal possession of a handgun.

How many are "many"??

Just want to get an idea of what you're basing your comment on.

How many states were you talking about? What are you basing your comment on?

You're the one that implied carrying one would result in a conviction; but you never said anything about it being illegal in "many" States, until you were challenged.

So what are YOU basing YOUR comment on??

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

it is the HEIGHT of absolute stupidity to believe that the founders would allow the government to regulate their right to bear arms after their former government tried to regulate their arms away.

I invite you to carry a handgun in public without the proper license, and cite your 2nd amendment right when you are found guilty in a court of law.

it's been challenged here in TX, the DAs have been DROPPING charges in order to prevent a precedent from being set allowing carry without a license.

the constitution says SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. nowhere does it say that the government can require a license. REMEMBER, the constitution is a RESTRICTION on the government, not on the people that wrote it.

The issue is voting rights. Trying to conflate the right to bear arms (with the proper permit to carry in public) might be a fun distraction, but it is every citizens right to vote.

Not so for carrying handguns. It's a privilege to those who qualify for a permit.
