I would like to know if you think America will WIN the war in IRAN?

For me, a US win would mean a successful REGIME change in Iran, with a new government that America could work with.

Or do you think this war will continue for some considerable time (like Vietnam did) and/or ultimately require a large-scale ground invasion to roll the hard-line Islamist regime in Tehran?

I think all their movements are being tracked, and when the hammer comes down, it will make Hitler's "Blitzkrieg" look like it took years in comparison.
Also I'm pretty sure China shipped them in some RPGs and things, so that needs to be taken into account.

You assume there is a friendlier regime somewhere in Iran. Who is it? The Repugs said they were not after regime change, then said after the sneak attack, they achieved regime change.
I think Trump wants out. The super high and climbing gas prices are increasing inflation and pissing off voters as the midterms approach, He is begging other nations to intervene . They seem to be watching him wreck the economy and show the world how militant the US is,

You’re talking about winning as if this is a conventional war with a clean end state. It isn’t. Right now it’s a naval and economic standoff, blockades, ship seizures, and pressure over the Strait of Hormuz, not a US ground invasion of Tehran. Even US allies are openly questioning what the exit strategy is supposed to be, which should tell you something about how clear‑cut this war really is.

Regime change in Iran would require either an internal collapse/elite split in Tehran, or a massive, sustained ground campaign and occupation that the US public and most allies clearly don’t want.

So if your definition of win is a neat, US‑friendly regime installed in Tehran, that’s a very high bar and historically a bad bet. What’s far more likely is a long, grinding pressure campaign, intermittent negotiations, and an eventual ugly compromise that nobody calls a victory, but everyone lives with.
 
At some point one of two outcomes are likely:

1. Trump fucks away the peace in some half assed negotiated deal and Iran goes on like before and of course keeps working towards a nuke.

2. Congress fucks away the peace forcing Trump to do some half assed negotiated deal and Iran goes on like before and of course keeps working towards a nuke.

It isn't that we can't crush Iran in a war, we can easily do that. What we can't manage is to do the peace that follows in some sane and useful manner.

One more wave and that's going to be it, but it will be effective.
 
The U.S. has killed nearly all of Iran's leadership. It is now unclear who can truly represent Iran and make a workable agreement with the U.S. Iran will have to make some concessions. The Americans just need to wait. But for those Americans who hoped Iran could become some kind of free, democratic Western-style country—sorry, that is not going to happen. Your country attacked Iran only to satisfy Israel's demands and for oil.

Regime change is not the only success.

Lets say you have a scenario where the north west of iran break away to form an Azeri or Kurd state and the bottom east becomes a baluch seperatist state all friendly to the US while the central Persian area would still be hostile. That would still be a win. You got half the country to turn to you and the remaining half is neutered. Also you would have liberated 30-40 million people from the IRGC that would be good for them.

Or say Iran descends into full scale civil war. That would also be a win as they will not bother anyone else for a while. That would also be ok.

That said Trump clearly values the Iranian economy and infrastructure over the American one so he will TACO and crawl away humiliated while Iran puts the entire region under its control
