Recently, I tried telling you RW morons how important good public health policies and communication are. That was in light of cancellation of a $150 million grant from NIH (I think) for public health communication. They cancelled it in fear of being sued by RW ignorants.

Well, here it is, folks. More proof of the damage that sheer, willful ignorance does. COVID went from a disease that hospitalized and killed the frail and elderly to one of demographics. It became one that attacked Trump country. The unvaccinated.

This article validates that beyond COVID. States that invest in good public health policies experience greater longevity and quality of life that those where you idiots in denial live. Basically, because of your stupidity snd ignorance, you are shitting in your own nest.

I’d ask, when are you fucktards going to wake up and smell the coffee. But, I know you won’t. You’ll remain as ignorant as you always have been. You’ll just die younger, which might be a blessing.

Evolution in action. The links below indicate most of the dead are MAGAts. Their kids are better off without them.

https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2014/02/07/who-smokes-in-america
Smoking rates today are highest among the poor and less-educated, according to government data. For instance, 29% of people living below the official poverty level smoke, versus 17.9% of people at or above poverty. People whose highest educational level is a General Educational Development (GED) certificate — typically high-school dropouts — are nine times more likely to smoke than people with graduate degrees (45.3% versus 5%).

Smoking rates vary considerably by geography. The highest rates in the 2009-2011 period were in nonurban counties in the South (31.9%) and small towns in the South (31%) and Midwest (30%). The lowest rates are in big Western cities (15%) and their suburban fringes (16.9%).

"Trump Country", as you want to call them, believes they dodged the heart damage bullet on that vaccine. I think you'd be safe to go ahead and get money, they ain't suing...

It's not my opinion it was a pay wall scrotum mouth.

I still love how pissed off you cockroaches get.

“ State lawmakers gained autonomy over how to spend federal safety net dollars following Republican President Ronald Reagan’s push to empower the states in the 1980s. Those investments began to diverge sharply along red and blue lines, with conservative lawmakers often balking at public health initiatives they said cost too much or overstepped. Today, people in the South and Midwest, regions largely controlled by Republican state legislators, have increasingly higher chances of dying prematurely compared with those in the more Democratic Northeast and West, according to The Post’s analysis of death rates.”

They can “believe” all they want. Just like they “believe” a sociopathic loser was a great president.

The numbers speak for themselves. However factual that data is, just like the results of the last presidential election, the Trumpers will reject the truth out of sheer, willfull ignorance.

I fully support letting stupid people remove themselves from the gene pool. Let them smoke, drive without a seat belt or motorcycle helmet and avoid vaccines.

Mr. Tiny Penis, Why Wait? Just follow your own advice and start shooting all 70,000,000 of them.

I agree. Not sure why, except for the vaccines.

During the time we were living full time in our old beach house,

we were in New Hampshire,

the Live Free or Die state,

and the only state in the nation that does not require seat belts.

I wore my seat belt anyway, which would normally be no big deal to mention.

For me, it is worth mentioning, though.

People my age got to drive a long time without them,

and when they were made mandatory in Massachusetts, I was livid.

I hated them.

They wrinkled ones clothes, and as good Bostonians realize,

looking good is much more important than feeling good.

We had a referendum and got the law stricken down. It was national news.

But as soon as it was legal to try again

our pantywaist sissy State House, comprised almost completely of members of my own fucking party,

passed the law again.

Again, we tried to remove it by referendum,

but the second time we just barely failed.

Want to know what won me over?

Nothing. I still hate seat belts.

I no longer complain about them, however, due entirely to "identity politics" pressure.

The OTHER people who opposed them

were very different kinds of people than myself.

Very different. [Libertarians, Oom!!!!!!!!!!]

By the way, New Hampshire doesn't require motorcycle helmets either,

but I won't ever be getting onto

one of those paraplegia machines

so I don't care.

“Thirty years ago, Ohio’s health outcomes were on par with California’s, with nearly identical death rates for adults in the prime of life — ranking in the middle among the 50 states. But the two states’ outcomes have diverged, along with their political leanings, said Ellen Meara, a health economics and policy professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She has studied why death rates fell in California, home to some of the nation’s most progressive politics, while they scarcely budged in increasingly conservative Ohio. By 2017, California had the nation’s second-lowest mortality rates, falling behind only Minnesota; Ohio ranked 41st, according to The Post analysis.”
