Afghanistan is not totally isolated from the outside world. Al Jazeera and then international press have sources and contacts that report from Afghanistan.

The burden of proof is on those who actually made the prediction.

Your MAGA boyfriends predicted Americans would be hunted, kidnapped, and beheaded by the Taliban.

That is a fantastical claim, and you need to show proof it actually happened.

He is definitely confused and conflating issues of the war!

Personally, I thought the war in Afghanistan was poorly planned out by those that called for it, took too long to find the enemy we were basically after that justified the war, and I also believe our troops stayed too long after we TOOK THAT ENEMY OUT!

But, I never looked at the US Military as terrorists.
