I predict the GOP will pay a HEAVY price for this kangaroo hearing in Nov

what would they gain by insulting the entire court by appointing someone with almost as few morals as you grind?
 
I think it's extremely hard to gauge at this point. I've seen both sides talk about the big 'backlash' that's coming for the other side as a result of this - ultimately, it probably won't change the overall dynamic much.

To me, it just reminds me of the Anita Hill situation. It seems like old men who have a lot of power, who don't seem to understand anything about women's rights or how incidents like the one that is alleged can affect someone, putting politics ahead of basic humanity. But the flip of that is that there are many who just don't care, both male & female. On the left, there tends to be an attitude like "well, surely this will change the minds of women everywhere," but it does nothing - like Access Hollywood.

first of all the GOP cannot 'confirm him anyway' without the votes

and, the GOP can easily both pay a heavy price in Nov and NOT confirm the perv

Women are making baby steps since the 70’s and it is my hope that the next generations will take even more steps to change these attitudes.
