That is incorrect, as I showed before, Limbaugh was not a pioneer of any kind, AM radio was full of right wing talking heads long before Limbaugh came along, his only accomplishment in the field was realizing the way to make millions was presenting everything as a melodrama, good guys vs bad guys, and to accomplish such he provided the scapegoats for conservatives to hate. The guy is a flat out demagogue, he has no admirable character traits no matter where you fall on the political spectra

He did not start "talk radio on a national basis," where do you people come up with this stuff, right wing talk radio dates back to the 1930's, Father Coughlin was the example I gave, and prior to Limbaugh there existed conservative talking heads, Joe Pyne comes to mind, who even I admit could be funny.
What Limbaugh was was one of the first to realize with the end of the Freedom Doctrine he could make millions presenting it all as a melodrama, easy format, which allowed him to demonize and personally attack individuals in a safe environment, nobody gets to ask questions on talk radio. Roger Ailes imported the same techniques to TV, "fair and balanced," it was never about balanced, rather a format giving people what they wanted to hear
I have yet to hear from a conservative who can offer a logical reason why Limbaugh got this award

And now talking on the radio makes one a patriot, who knew, making millions telling people what they want to hear puts you right up there with Nathan Hale and Paul Revere, now are they going to start naming schools Limbaugh High, or maybe, streets, Limbaugh Avenue
