I love this

There's lots of things to like about this president.

He just proposed another dollar tax on cigarettes. Who smokes that shit? The poor.

The recent increase in FICA, another 2% of income. Most folks don't realize that FICA taxes don't apply on income over a certain amount. I think it's $105k or something like that now. So someone making 200k only got half the hit that anyone making less did.

And most of those smucks voted for the bastard.
 
Who's pretending? I don't give a shit about the poor in this country. They choose to be poor, and suck off the Govco teat, living better than many who work.

Exactly. It drives me nuts when I hear that view on poverty. The American poor - especially the working poor - are some of the post oppressed folks in the world. Living in abject poverty, in a country that endorses stealing from them, and having their rights undermined at every turn. Meanwhile, we have an ideology - which is enforced by those that are the primary product of their suffering - that calls belittles their hardship and calls lazy. It's completely inequitable.
