I love it when liberals claim homosexuality was historically accepted

Pederasty in ancient Greece was a socially acknowledged erotic relationship between an adult male and a younger male (the Eromenos) usually in his teens.

Interracial and interreligious marriages were also not traditionally accepted. That matters not in the least. Just because bigotry was accepted in the past does not mean it is right.

You at least insinuate that because liberals are wrong about historical acceptance that current acceptance is somehow invalid.

There are times and places in history where homosexuality was acceptable and times and places where it was not, why does it matter?

Do you ask liberals that question when they refer to ancient practices like pederasty, Counselor?

Ive never known a liberal to refer to such practices. I still haven't gotten an answer to my question? Are you afraid to engage in discussion?

Can you answer?

What makes you think its currently accepted ? Try tolerated or better yet, ignored.

I love it when liberals point to the practice of pederasty in ancient Greece as a positive sign that gay sex is acceptable and speculate about Alexander the Greats' sexual preferences, don't you?

I don't think that's the issue being raised. I think it's that liberals will lie through their teeth to get what they want.

Spitzer: "I'm a changed man."
Obama: "You can keep your health insurance if you want it."
Obama: "It was a disgusting YouTube video."
ad infinitum.....

What does it matter, its historical acceptance? From a historical perspective, chattle-slavery is a policy with overwhelming support, yet we do not chattle-slave anymore (unfortunately, wage slavery continues, but that shall be eradicated one day as well). Why should homosexuality be any different?

It was pretty damned acceptable in Sparta and those guys certainly weren't limp wristed pansies.

Plutarch also describes the relationships as chaste and states that it was just as unthinkable for a lover to have sex with his beloved as it was for a father and son.

Aelian relates that in Sparta, for a man not to have a youth for a student was considered a deficiency in character, and he could even be punished for it. But Aelian also says that if any couple indulged in carnal relations, they would have to redeem the affront to the honor of Sparta by either going into exile or taking their own lives.
