I like Christie's style.

I saw a news conference with the NJ Gov. last night.

I got to say I like his honest style and kind approach. I disagree with his politics, but he is not harsh, hostile or mean about stating honestly what he belives.

The Republicans could nominate someone much worse.

They could have nominated Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussein, ect.

I disagree. I saw him at a town hall meeting treat a schoolteacher who asked him questions like a 5 year old. It was sickening.

Nothing new but always interesting how two people can watch the exact same thing and come away with completely opposite reactions.

I agree. I watched the school teacher encounter and thought he handled it in an OK manner. If you're going to ask a question, let the fellow answer and keep the eye-rolling and exasperated sighs to a minimum. Just my observation.

It may not be the same thing. I saw this about a month ago.

Not positive but pretty sure its the probably the same thing. It was a small town hall meeting type set up it looked to me? And the lady stood up and asked her question from what looked like the left side of the room? I'll see if it is on youtube.

Reminds me of what they did to us in middle school. They brought in a guess speaker and told half the class beforehand the speaker was nice, great etc. etc. and told the other half the speaker was not nice etc. etc. and then asked for our opinions of the speaker afterwards. Sure enough most held true to the prior biases they had of the speaker afterwards.

What BarFGReeN fails to pass on is this teacher was hurling inaccurate accusations at Christie and tried to assign an agenda to him and his administration that was totally inaccurate. He put her in her place and did so neatly and summarily. She came prepared to whine and screech and he stopped her in her tracks with f-a-c-t-s.

The guy is a no-nonsense, tell the truth no matter how uncomfortable it is, and to set the record straight.

Is he human? Of course and he will not get everything right, but so far so good and hopefully he won't be tainted by the slimebuckets.

Everyone hates unions, I will start a list of the things unions have done for people in the USA

Holidays
Weekends
Overtime Pay
Sick Pay
Vacation Pay
Middle Class

Anything else anyone can think of?

We demonize unions, but they aren't the bad guys, the business world just wants us to believe that they are, it is a look over here technique and if we bust unions, the rest of the labor force is in for some really hard times!

It is a shame the American worker does not see what is being done to them slow, but surely! Working conditions in America will suffer greatly if unions are broken like corporations and government would like them to be...

Isn't it amazing how the folks on the right claim they are against government and for the people, but they ALWAYS gravitate and fawn over authoritarian assholes like Christie? They LOVE a president, senator or governor who demeans the working class people.

Christie ran on a platform that he would be an education governor, then he got elected and has made a frontal assault on New Jersey’s public schools and teachers.

Even his fans are bewildered by some of his more provocative comments — such as the one placing teachers on par with drug dealers by likening students being given budget information to take home to “drug mules.” ref

I think he is very sarcastic, it will be what eventually turns people off.

I thought he nicely shove the dumb bitches head up her union ass.

"We're going to crush labor as a political entity"
Grover Norquist - Republican economic guru and co-author of the GOP's 'Contract with America'

Such disdain and animosity toward hard working Americans. People on this board 'claim' you are not right wing...yet you exhibit the classic character markers of a right wing authoritarian follower on so many issues.

The American workers are the MOST productive in the world. And Republicans and their empty headed minions want to CRUSH the working man and women and create an aristocracy.

If you think Grover Norquist is only talking about crushing 'union' workers, you are in for a HUGE surprise...

The folks that fawn over Christie's arrogant and dismissive 'style' will only have a personal epiphany when it's THEIR job, pension and benefits Christie and the Republicans go after.
