I have found a place, within parameters, where I think Trump did a good job.

I disagreed with Trump when he canceled the Iran nuclear deal that previously existed. I believe that canceling that deal got us to where we were. I think that was a terrible mistake.

However, in the circumstances of the last several weeks, and if this ends like it looks like it is about to, Trump handled things well.

There was an opening where Iran‘s nuclear capabilities were available for destruction. It appears we were able to get in and get out without getting stuck. I hope we were able to destroy a lot of any capabilities Iran had towards nuclear weapons.

It very well may be that this is going to result in a deal where we get inspectors on the ground to verify that there is no nuclear program within the Iranian government any longer, if that happens, it will be a win.

I commend you for your fairness in this. Not EVERYTHING has to be partisan,......you showed the board just that with your post. Thank You Jarod.

So it was the IAEA, thanks.

I could be wrong, and if so, it would be the first time, but I do believe that there are already Israeli inspectors on the ground in Iran. And
thanks for saying that Trump handled things well. (y)

"Everybody" said Saddam has WMD's too. I have grown wary of "Everybody". I have friends who are Iranian and I can assure you we have no quarrel.

Iran was cheating on the Iranian deal they also would not allow inspection as promised. The deal was for 10 years and would be over by now.

Ok, you may be making bad predictions because your model of history is incorrect.

We didn't get "stuck" in Iraq or Afghanistan, it was a money laundering operation organized by the military industrial complex/deep state.

Fear of that happening again is totally rational, but it was never unintentional.

The conventional military of Iraq was destroyed in a week. Everyone who fought in the open in Afghanistan was defeated in two weeks. Nothing logistically prevented a full withdrawal at that point.

Or if you want to tip a small hat to nation building, you can stay for a month to run an election then leave. The US military can keep doing this every five years forever (with the amount we spend).

These countries can decide to become civilized or remain permanently in the dark ages, and I think they would be much more likely to choose civilization when the nation building isn't obvious corruption lining the pockets of local organized crime pretending to be a government.

These parrots never bother to look up anything before posting.

^^^This. The problem is Islam was specifically invented to justify robbery and murder and invasions, i.e. organized crime. It can be nothing else. Same with 'Marxism' and 'Maoism'. They can never be stable, just degenerate.

Without parameters, wtf?. Why can't you xSeotics speak English?

Listen up, you fucking idiots: Only uranium that is 3.5% pure max is necessary for power plant fuel. Going for 60% is purely for weapons grade use.

Yes, it really is that simple.

Unless it's a pebble bed type reactor which uses HALEU fuel.
High-Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor (HTGR) designs, can utilize High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) fuel. HALEU, enriched between 5% and 20% in Uranium-235, allows for higher burnup rates and more compact reactor designs compared to traditional reactors using lower enriched uranium. This can lead to increased fuel efficiency and reduced waste generation.

Iran can't even develop WW II era weapons; everything they have now as far as tech is imported, and relies on imports. They aren't developing power plants, they're building bombs, and when they get them they will start using them on both us and Israel and others they want to extort. They aren't anywhere near the tech levels for the HTGR stuff. They're going for 60% + and on up to 87%, far above any currently possible power plant use.

I appreciate the info, though. WE should building those, and in fact I ran across a couple of companies who are developing small nuclear plants, called SMR's, you probably already know about. This will allow small towns far away from the main cities to produce power without the hideous expenses for transmission lines. Transmission lines and maintenance are over 80% of electricity costs, not the power plants.
