Can any of you liberals explain why africa is by far the poorest and most backward continent on the planet. It's not due to racism since all of black africa is now controlled by blacks and has been for decades.

It was colonised latest and is still being robbed ragged, obviously. Most of it is controlled by the United States, as you know. I'm not a liberal though.

Take Zambia as an example, the mines are owned by the Zambians. However international mining companies are granted licences for mining operations. The Chinese are heavily into copper mining for obvious reasons.

Admittedly anecdotal but...
I've had two friends live in S.A.
An Irish dentist tried living in Durbane but moved back to the Republic deciding that the need to live with bars on his windows wasn't worth it. (Hmm. Sounds alot like the city I grew up in).
A German who lived most of his life in S.A., had a once good electrical engineering business, but finally moved back to Rhineland-Pfalz due to frustration of corruption and the requirement to hire a minimum percentage of unqualified workers who he was unable to fire .
Sad state of affairs there.

HAHAHA. Just what i wanted you to say. So why don't africans build their own gold mines and silver mines and oil fields???? Answer is - THEY CAN'T. They don't have the engineering skills and so they INVITE the west to build everything for them.

The west is not exploiting africa. The stupid africans need outsiders to come in and do everything for them. They WANT us there.

Same thing in america. How many blacks get degrees in engineering or physics.?

Indeed. Apartheid did not end in SA. It just changed from anti-black to anti-white. Affirmative action is MASSIVE in the country and has been for 20 years. The country is crawling with engineers and doctors and CEOs that can't even read.
