I haven't seen too much on the delivery of that speech. Dear god almighty - and he calls Hillary shrill?

And no humor whatsoever. Whether you support his "ideas" or not, he's a really strange person.

The could spout policies you agree with and you would suddenly find yourself disagreeing with them simply because you hate the guy. You're nearly as bad as the far righties with Obama.

This thread is specifically about the tone & delivery of his speech.

Do you think I'm exaggerating? Do you think his tone & delivery were normal, or anything close to it?
 
somebody said something about using the teleprompter..beats me..

Hillary got a voice coach ( again rumor) to help were stop the screeching.

It's natural at big rallies to shout into mics -and it comes off as shouting at the crowd.

He needs more practice being a politician - Hillary has learned that after like 20years of screeching
 
I watched most of it and I certainly never once thought he was screaming. Passionate and not the usual boring, stuffy political deliver. Obama speaks like a Sunday preacher, especially when he first started.

If you've ever been to a corporate retreat, then you will have seen some screaming. Or google Steve Ballmer at a Microsoft rally, that is some funny stuff right there.

Well, your opinion is different from 90% of the pundits I saw afterwards, and an even higher % of posts I saw on twitter.

But that's okay. We can disagree on that.

I wasn't keeping track, to be honest. I don't restrict myself to a network or 2.

But to suggest that questioning his tone is just based on "Trump hate" is kind of a silly knee-jerk. At its best, it was not what you normally hear in a convention speech. He was yelling throughout.

I watched it and he wasn't yelling. The whole thing is very subjective. And I know you didn't hear that on Fox or any conservative talking head. You and I both know it was the lefties saying it. So, it is not knee jerk, it is simple logical deduction.

I agree, it is not what you normally hear. Go back to the late 1800's and early 1900's and you will find impassioned speeches like his. Go to a business conference about motivation or watch someone sell something on TV and it is the same (not always, but mostly). I understand you just the same boring speeches that lull you to sleep, its ok, we all need something to put us to sleep.

That's cool. I've seen quite a few business motivational speakers and salesman who are more emphatic than Trump and many who have the same. And Trump, above all, is a salesman, so for me, it wasn't surprising or troubling.
