It was a good win but the ‘Muslim ban’ doesn’t effect the vast majority of the worlds Muslims lol.

Which makes one wonder why it was ever ruled against in the first place.

Well, because of the Constitution & liberty and stuff like that.

Oh, I know SCOTUS ruled for it - but SCOTUS is a political entity now.

The constitution grants authority to POTUS to restrict travel from certain countries—and it’s a no-brainer.

The constitution does not give the president the power to ban races and ethnicities he finds undesirable from the US. Race and religion are protected classes under the US constitution, subject to strict scrutiny. I'm not even sure if strict scrutiny would be necessary because Trump is legally insane.

It's a travel ban. There is no ban based on race/ethnic. The ban is on countries of origination,
In regard to immigration law, Congress, under the Plenary Power Doctrine, has the power to make immigration policy subject to judicial oversight. The Executive Branch is charged with enforcing the immigration laws passed by Congress.
