It's a fact that Russia meddled in the 2016 election.

Surprised I said that lol? It's because Russia ALWAYS meddles in our elections and has been for decades. We [CIA] meddles in theirs and Israel's---hell, we 'meddled' in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and until very recently Syria.

But Trump got smart and un-meddled there.

So everyone election-meddles. There's no stopping them from trying, so prudence dictates we do a better job of protecting our democracy from it. Do you hear me, DNC?

The question is whether there was collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia and/or whether Russia hacked the cyber-challenged DNC's server. We have to accept Crowd strike conclusion even though they are, conveniently, on the DNC payroll for the latter.

And there is no good evidence of the former. And this, despite over nine months of several investigations trying very hard to come up with it.

At this point most objective observers are going to conclude the evidence doesn't exist. If you think about it, why would it? Why would Russia need to coordinate with the Trump campaign in the digital age where they can observe our political process as well anyone here. The Russians don't need Trump to watch Hillary's poll numbers. They have smart phones like everyone else. They undoubtedly know who Nate Silver is. Etc.

It just doesn't make a lot of sense for Russia to collude with anyone when they had no need to. Certainly, not a compelling need.
