I applaud Sanders not letting go, keep campaigning

Sanders keeps campaigning in D.C., but supporters lament the end

I believe Der Trumptard has already divided the GOP to the point that, if and a big if, they remain intact, they will never be the same before he became the nom. Sanders, in my opinion, is doing something similar to the dems, but not on such a uuuge scale.

I sincerely hope that both parties realize that most Americans don't buy their crap anymore. My most fervent hope is that a strong and viable third party arises from the ashes of this election.

Bravo.

There's a more distinct ideological division on the democrat side with Bernie trying to point the car over into the far left lane. Not to discount the ideological elements on the republican side; but they aren't as pronounced and much of the animus against Trump is directed at the tenor of his campaign and utter, utter lol, disregard for political correctness.

Here's the danger for the Democrats: a reformulated Democrat party [an out of the closet socialist party?] that's even farther to the left than it is presently, risks aleinating moderate democrats to say nothing of independents.

Meanwhile, a more Trump-esque Republican Party is socially and economically moderate and not out of touch with working class democrats, becomes broader the broader tent. Trump tweaks conservatism whereas Bernie is more a revolutionary.

A third party would be nice, but I doubt we'll ever see one.

The best opportunity is a mushy middle party pulling the larger portion of both dems and reps and ditching the fringe issues.

did you see sanders walking along the columns with the smiling back slapping Obama?
How about meeting with Reid, or being praised by Warren?

He's being bought off with approved membership into the Democratic Establishment country club of good partisans.
He'll fall on his sword, with "atta boys" and with those go the chances for political revolution.

Power is a seductive siren call.

It is a long shot, but I believe this election changes both parties in a major way. It has happened in the past, but this time, I hope a viable third party is created from this mess. Libertarian party doesn't cut it for most middle of the road folks.

Hate to say it, but Arnold Schwarzenegger would make a good third party candidate. He is totally middle of the road, but when in office has difficulty working with both parties. We need a terminator to clean up the mess that is DC.

For Rune, I am not saying I would vote for him. Sorry, but Rune is simple, he thinks because I titled my username as Lumberjack, he thought that is what I do for a living. :rofl2:

You want a candidate that does work with both parties? Did he clean up California? Maybe, what you need is Jerry Brown

Well, if the Republican tent broadens there goes the chance for a third party because the electoral demand won't be there. Though the good thing is we'd have a real two party system where the choices are more clear.

Which would be an improvement.
