Sadly, I guess not.

Our cultural backgrounds are radically different, and that probably explains part of it.

In the ethnic urban Northeast, friendly hugs and pecks are not sexual harassment.
And loyalty is as essential as oxygen.

The Mid West is a totally different world, and I guess that's ok too.
It just makes working together pretty unlikely.

I've heard people who traveled in the military or in military families say Pawling is the best place in America if not the World.

Even heard some young dudes from Scarsdale the richest town on the East Coast say that Pawling is a lot better.
Way more friendly, more open spaces & park land.
Just as cute if not cuter.

The people in Pawling are super friendly, generous, and more laid back.
Something you don't get much of just South of here towards NYC.

We moved from about 6 miles South of here in Putnam Lake, NY about 4 years ago.

Now Putnam Lake is a bad place.

Super unfriendly.
Lots of fist fights.

Less pick ups though.
Still just as Trump. Though.

Haven't spent much time in Albany.

Spent a lot of time in Hudson, NY just South of Albany maybe 30 to 40 minutes.

A lot of angry Whites & Blacks in Hudson, NY.

Saw some Scottish looking Hobos steal a bike.

Saw some of them curse at City people coming to town.

Because for a long time Hudson was an Art / Antique destination.

That's why we were there, after all.

I have never owned a pickup truck in my entire almost 75 years of life.

In fairness, few city dwellers own pickup trucks.

After Lincolns stopped being Lincolns, I switched to Jeep Grand Cherokees.
That's as truck-like as I'll ever get.

I also own a vintage Corvette restomod for the summer months, but of course, it's rained all summer.
And I'm too old to get in and out of it with the top up.

But Joe Sixpack's Middle America is not for me.
Some people, yes, but never me.

I like the perfect blend of East Coast elitist snobbery and ethnic urban grit.
That pretty much defines Boston.

People of northern European heritage, even if their ancestors have been here for decades, tend to be "colder" and less emotionally demonstrative than southern Europeans (i.e., Italians) and other ethnicities like Hispanics. My own parents loved us but were not huggy, kissy people. In general most of the midwest's population is composed of similar people. I've only known a couple of 100% Italian ppl; they were warm and physically affectionate.

That being said, Cuomo is an adult man who is aware of our mores. As an adult man, he has the ability to keep his mitts to himself and not run around hugging or grasping ppl in the workplace. Maybe he wanted to get sexy with the women, maybe he just thought he was being friendly. Either way, they did not welcome it. He dug his own hole, and jumped into it.
