Accepting information or other assistance in an election from agents of a hostile foreign power is not in itself illegal as far as I know, but it is unpatriotic and reprehensible. Such assistance is not offered for America's benefit - that should be obvious to anyone, especially someone who thinks he's fit to be POTUS.

Contracting a third party to aquire information from other countries is just as dirty as seeking the information directly.

The dossier contained unsubstantiated bullshit that even the author cannot stand behind. Why do liberals LIE all the time? It was used to SPY on a Presidential campaign, knowing that it contained unsubstantiated bullshit.

Actually, we believe if we did not do that, we have no problems. Russians were not involved in the Fusion oppo research. They were the target of Steele. Russians were not getting any benefit from the Fusion probe. The Russians worked the Trumpies for their own aims.
The differences are so fundamental that you have to be deliberately ignoring the facts or are lying. Russia was trying to foment anger and division in America and fuck up the faith in democratic elections. Trump was a perfect foil to use. He was sowing division and hate by himself.
