Now that's rich!! Maybe she's preemptively attacking or deflecting since a MOVIE is coming out this week about her DADDY! Or she's just the hypocritical spawn of a hypocritical daddy? (I thought hypocrisy was learned. Maybe it's GENETIC). Anyway she says she doesn't want the Armed Services Committee to play politics and then goes on to SLAM Obama.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), the third-ranking House Republican, on Sunday cautioned Democrats not to cut military spending, and she suggested that President Barack Obama’s administration had devastated the armed forces.

During an interview on ABC News, Cheney argued that it would be the wrong time for Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith (D-WA) to trim the Pentagon’s budget.

“When I listen to my colleague, Congressman Smith, talk about what the Armed Services Committee is going to be focused on, I really do hope that he will not direct the committee to be focused simply on, you know, political attacks on President Trump,” Cheney said.

According to the daughter of the former vice president, the nation faces “too many challenges” to engage in partisan attacks.

“It’s certainly the role of the Armed Services Committee to conduct oversight,” she admitted. “But as we do that, it is our role to make sure that the Defense Department is doing everything it needs to do to modernize.”

“I am certainly hopeful that we will not see Congressman Smith support cutting the defense budget,” Cheney added. “We’ve just begun to rebuild after the devastation of the Obama years. And we’ve got to continue on that trajectory and on that path.”...

I saw that movie. It was pretty lame. Had some parts that left you scratching your head. Still haven't figured out why the film maker decided to flash a shot of Alex Jones into the movie out of context and incongruous. Alex Jones hated Bush and Cheney.

Haven't seen it yet. From the trailers it looks like it could a bit 'cheeky'. I don't expect to be faithful recreation of Cheney as vice. Reagan got a similar movie treatment sometime back and it was NOT bad. I had read his daughter's and son's books and they got a number of insider stories RIGHT. It was in no way a hit job.

I was hoping for some funny, but there was very little and it was very predictable when there was some. Bale does a great job of playing Cheney, but that's about all there is to it. It left out the infamous stand down order by Cheney that's part of the 911 lore, so it seemed to gloss over the truther stuff in my opinion. It makes a big deal about Cheney having gotten DUIs, but in the grand scheme of things it's really meaningless. It's far too weak to be a hit piece, but it also contained some strange blips (subliminal almost) with Morton Downey Jr and Alex Jones that have nothing whatsoever to do with Cheney.

I thought Trump already rebuilt the military, it’s what he claims, so which is it, Trump made our military great, again, or it needs to be rebuilt?
