Hunter has not pleaded guilty yet . The IRS was going to indict Hunter for felony evasion on 2018 and 2019 taxes then the team was pulled off the case and replaced then the new team charged him with misdemeanor tax charges.
He pleaded not guilty. If he goes to trial, he'll lose. I expect a deal will be made. IMO, 6-12 months of Federal minimum security prison will do him a lot of good.
He did that to keep the case going. The judge instructed Hunter's lawyers and the prosecutors to bring back a new plea deal with the provisions she demanded. Jail does not do people good. It will not change Trump.
Trump is a wackadoodle and an old one at that. All prison will do it keep him out of trouble.
Hunter is 53 and long past due to pull his head out of his ass. Prison will help him do it.
