Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban denounced the idea of “race-mixing” in European countries, eliciting backlash from several world leaders who have called his comments dangerous.

The Hungarian leader defended his previous statements on preserving an “unmixed Hungarian race,” arguing in a speech on Saturday that immigration blurs the lines between countries so they are “no longer nations.”

The far-right leader also referenced the “great replacement” conspiracy theory during his speech on Saturday.

Next month, the Hungarian leader is expected to give the opening address at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Texas.

The American rightwing loves this guy

We consider the Hungarian Prime Minister's comments to be vile because they go against our values.

Meanwhile, we see proof of it every day in the way our multiple ethnicities don't get along.
Maybe we'll find a way to fix it.

What we will never fix is ideological incompatibility, however.
Only partition can fix that.

The Hungarians proper are descended from the Magyars, a nomadic tribe of the Eurasian steppes genetically comprised of a mixture of European and Asiatic peoples.

Hungarians don't even speak a traditionally European language. Their language belongs to the Uralic family of languages, a language which originated beyond the Ural mountains in Asia.

There is no Y chromosome genetic test today that can tell you what a "pure" Hungarian is.

US conservatives embracing controversial Hungarian leader

When heads of state visit the U.S., the top item on their itinerary is usually a White House visit. For Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban next month, it will be addressing a conference of conservative activists in Dallas.

Orban’s appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference, where he’ll be joined by former President Donald Trump and right-wing icons such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is the most dramatic indication yet of how a leader criticized for pushing anti-democratic principles has become a hero to segments of the Republican Party.

The Hungarians are not of a European origin. They come from Central Asia, but did mix with the Germanic and Slavic Europeans. Which is to say he has absolutely no point. He has less point than almost any other possible nationality.

Orban is wrong here. Race isn't the problem, and mixing isn't the problem either. What is the problem is mixing cultures and social norms, especially when the new or invasive one brings undesirable traits and norms with it.

What's interesting is that people like him say stuff like this and immediately get called racist, etc.. Yet countries like Japan enforce ideals and immigration policies just like this, and nary a word is said.
