Hundreds of Macy's, Sears & Kmart stores closing soon....

By not voting for a Democrat? Ok.

No. For not voting Republican. You knew your vote was meaningless and if you thought that voting against your party was going to win you some kinda recognition, or a round of applause, then you probably shouldn't vote. In the end it isn't your intentions or feelings that count. It's the vote.

I voted for my party by not voting for Trump. And not voting is stupid. That's what Democrats do and that's why they get their ass kicked at the state and congressional level. People on this board act like voting for President is the only thing worth voting for. Along with everything else I voted on about 40 city and state proportions. I was suppose to stay home and not vote because I didn't support Trump? No way.

I voted for Gary Johnson with a clear conscious.

So where is slump the magic job saver????

Come this spring, hundreds of large retail outlets are going to shut their doors and with it, thousands of jobs will disappear. Right after slump the savior assumes the throne.

What gives???? Why doesnt he wave his golden magic wand and make some kind of slick deal with them???

Come on slump suckers!!!! What's your excuse?????

Why doesn't Obama do something AS President? What's your excuse black ass licker.

Sears is taking way too long to die, they should have been in the ground ten years ago.
Yea. Maybe more. They were the king of the catalog model....100 years ago. Then they came out with the lifetime warranty on tools. That brought customers, but hurt profits.

Then they had an image crisis, so they tried 'Come see the lighter side of Sears', where they tried to appeal to women. Then they became a clothing store.

They're closing a small store here, and a rather large store 40 miles away. I'm going to miss them. I bought a lawn tractor, a snowblower and a log splitter from them in the past few years. All excellent quality. Free shipping to the local store, and I just trailer it home from there.

Shame, really, but Home Depot/Lowes are kicking Sears' ass.

You need to have a modicum of common sense Nomad. You're such a bitter partisan that you lack even that. What did Trump run on? Manufacturing jobs. What have Trump's job tweets been about? Manufacturing jobs and off shoring.

Did he say a word about retail jobs being taken by the internet? No he didn't.

The guy's crazy but there's a method to the jobs he's targeting and the voters who occupy those jobs.

So think a little Nomad.
I know you weren't on 'team Orange', but do you expect to see him announce that he's going to manufacture his/Ivanka's low grade garbage clothing lines here now?

You've got to be crazy if you think people are going to ignore what Trump tweets. Look at what it does to stock prices of companies he tweets about. There are multiple articles out about how companies will deal with his tweets and respond to them if they are brought up.
Companies are learning that Trump can be a useful tool. If they planned to create jobs here, they can just make statement that they might be moving to Mexico.

That does two things....make tax credits available, and also gives them the opportunity to 'cave' under one of trump's tweets, increasing share price immediately.

Then you aren't paying attention to my posts good brother .. even the ones I just posted to you.

America needs to grow up. The age of manufacturing has moved on. Anti-trade policies won't work in a modern world .. if they ever worked. We are inter-dependent on a global market whether we admit it or not.

This isn't about Bernie .. he lost. Many democrats and Leftists like myself were never on board with his anti-trade rhetoric. Maybe you didn't notice the civil war among democrats on anti-trade policies .. a big reason why many democrats chose Clinton over Sanders..

My point is that you are indeed much closer to the Left than you are Trump on these issues than you may be comfortable with.
It seems our trade policies have become skewed. We seem to have traded manufacturing jobs, for Big Agra jobs. We force our corn/wheat on other countries, and trade that for manufacturing.

It keeps the middle of the country voting for Republicans.

Sorry BAC, that's ignoring years of economic reality to think these stores started closing years ago because they knew Trump would be President one day with anti-trade rhetoric.

One has to pretty much live in a cave to not be aware of what online retailing has done to traditional retailers. This has nothing to do with President's.
You're saying that you can't shop Sears online? Sears, like others to follow, are closing brick/mortar locations. They aren't going under.

It's the shitty policies of Democrats that cause it.

Why doesn't Obama do something AS President? What's your excuse black ass licker.

Obama isn't the one who, along with his supporters, ran around making idiotic, nonsense claims about him having extraordinary business saving skills and magical deal-making powers.

Orange dick sucker.

(you can answer this too Rana, since you agreed) What company's stock price has gained after a Trump tweet? Toyota lost $1.5 billion in value in about five minutes after a Trump tweet .
