I would think that you'd be using this thread to discuss to costs of 'made in America' here instead of mocking it.

The jobs in these threads aren't about 'made in America' they are about retail stores losing out to online retailers.

His method is targeting manufacturing jobs that are being off-shored. His whole campaign was about that. And he's targeting the more blue collar union type voters who occupy those jobs.

Are these retailers closing their stores because of Made in America or because they are losing out to online retailers such as Amazon, Zappos etc.?

We're not on the same side if you support Bernie and Trump's anti-trade rhetoric/agenda. We're not on the same side if you think Uber and the sharing economy is a bad thing.

Did you notice the two instances when he mentions IN WHICH STORE HIS FOREIGN MADE CRAP IS SOLD....?

Now they're closing almost 70 store locations and killing hundreds of American jobs after being in business with slump.

Then you aren't paying attention to my posts good brother .. even the ones I just posted to you.

America needs to grow up. The age of manufacturing has moved on. Anti-trade policies won't work in a modern world .. if they ever worked. We are inter-dependent on a global market whether we admit it or not.

This isn't about Bernie .. he lost. Many democrats and Leftists like myself were never on board with his anti-trade rhetoric. Maybe you didn't notice the civil war among democrats on anti-trade policies .. a big reason why many democrats chose Clinton over Sanders..

My point is that you are indeed much closer to the Left than you are Trump on these issues than you may be comfortable with.

Clinton was anti-trade because Bernie moved her that way. She ran on an anti-trade agenda.

My beliefs haven't changed. I've always supported freer markets, free trade and the movement of people (immigration). You can label that whatever you would like but those are pretty basic libertarian market supporting beliefs.

They're closing those stores because their projecting a future .. which will include anti-trade policies from a president who won't hold press conferences because he doesn't like truth.

Sorry BAC, that's ignoring years of economic reality to think these stores started closing years ago because they knew Trump would be President one day with anti-trade rhetoric.

One has to pretty much live in a cave to not be aware of what online retailing has done to traditional retailers. This has nothing to do with President's.

Clinton was a chameleon. She had no core ideas except becoming rich ( she did) and powerful ( she didn't) ..

She'd run on anything for personal aggrandizement; she was for and against the TPP all at once. she's disgusting.

It only takes a peep beneath the covers to know which one was actually anti-trade. Start by not listening to the words coming out their mouths, but by looking at their records .. which is what all informed voters should do.

Since I'm not a libertarian, I know there is no such thing as a 'free market' .. nor laissez-faire economics.

I'm not trying to 'label' anything beyond what works and what does not.

In general, who has been more a backer of free trade? It's been Republicans. And no we don't have a free market which is why i said freer. And at the end of the day my beliefs won't change because the parties may change.

One of the few things I have usually agreed with the Republicans on is free trade.
