HRC seems Giddy....

Personally I am concerned that Trump could beat HRC in the General, stranger things, like GWB winning, have happened.

But... I was watching a few interviews lately with HRC, she seems unable to control her giddiness.

Maybe its just an act, or maybe I am seeing it wrong, but she seems to feel like she has this in the bag.

I wonder what she has on Trump, I suspect there is a lot of scandal that has not been discussed yet, the Republicans are all afraid to go there with him, but I don't think HRC is. We already know HRC and every scandal and where it is buried and that it has been investigated and re-investigated and likely investigated a third time, we don't know much about Trump's hidden past. I used to work on Bill Clintons campaign, so I know a little about what is going on at the HRC campaign.

They have huge files on every potential opponent for the general, they have a strategy and they are just waiting for it to be clear who the nominee is. They will start on a theme and pound that theme, then they will slowly leak (you wont be able to prove it was the campaign that leaked it) stories about the opponent's past that seem to confirm that theme. The theme will then grow into a narrative that appears to the general public to have developed organically. Obama did it with Romney and his 43% crap, but in a Clinton campaign the volume will be much greater. She is less ethical and cares less about running a legitimate campaign on the issues than Obama did. Trump is the ultimate at running a nasty campaign not based on the issues so it will be interesting to see if it becomes an HRC Trump fight. HRC wont be nasty unless she needs to, Trump seems to have a baseline set at nasty.

If Trump actually poses a chance at beating HRC, for a student of campaigns and campaign strategy, it would be an epic match up. Bad for the Country, but epic.

I would really be interested in how Trump does in one on one debate where more direct answers are expected.

Depending on what the audience is looking for, he might do very well. So far he has been a tag line, bumper sticker, twitter candidate.
