How Trump Lost On Health Care

This isn't that. Democrats set out to achieve affordable healthcare for Americans. Republicans set out to do away with the pesky taxes included in ACA law. They don't care about healthcare, as seen by the actual arguments within their ranks. We had those who wanted to keep some from getting health insurance, and we had those who wanted to keep more from getting insurance.

All to kill a cap gains tax on the wealthy.

This is dead as far as Republicans are concerned. They'll peck away at other aspects of the law, thinking they can blame Democrats in the end.

There is so much bullshit in this post one needs hip waders to read it. The Democrats didn't pass an affordable healthcare bill; the only one's who can "afford" it are the 20 million losers who are now on Medicare which is going to be paid for on the backs of the Americans who actually work and provide for their own healthcare.

Wasn't very good?

But the whole campaign he said he had something that was way better? It would cover EVERYONE, cost less, provide better healthcare, give everyone more choice and be ready to go on day 1. And it would be "easy" to pass.

Don't even tell me...Trump was making all of that up?

You think this is about Trump? You really are an idiot on steroids aren't you? :rofl2:

I'm starting to think you really believe that.

He's a buffoon, Grind. He's not the mastermind you keep portraying.

Wrong; you're the buffoon along with many other liberals suffering from a serious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

But of course, only in lying liberal hypocrite land is a man who has amassed billions and graduated from Warton Business school with an MBA a buffoon.

I do wish you had a brain; really I do.

And your diagnosis is partisan-induced myopia lol.

In the long view [the only view that matters] the no-vote on the bill may be a net plus for healthcare. Or it could go the other way.

You have no idea which it will be.

its a plus in my book because this bill would have let them say the problem was solved and the problem fixed. Now they have to get something else which can be positive.

Trump doesn't want to lose a game of tiddlywinks - much less a high-profile legislative battle that he predicted would be easy for months.

You don't understand psychology if you can't see that about his ego.

This wasn't part of a long-term strategy. Trump thought he would win, and he didn't.

Yep; you're such an oracle when it comes to predicting the future or divining what is in others minds aren't you? :rofl2:

We saw that in your election predictions. You're as dimwitted as BuckTard; Dolt.

Frankly, I don't know if Douchebag Donald had an ulterior motive for pushing this bill. But, if he gets a form of his bill passed sometime in his 4 or 8 years in office, then it's not really a failure. A failure is something like the rollout of his first travel ban, because that is a failure, independent of anything that happens in the future (the incompetent execution).

The travel ban wasn't a failure. Why would you think that?

You guys are really milking that one. Especially since I said a week before the election that Hillary would lose.

Oh, and she won nationally by 3 million votes, right?

:0) Bullshit.

Did you say that Trump is a bubbling fool who will greatly increase democratic chances in the midterms and beyond?

I did.

Did you say that Trump Is the best thing that could have happened for the Democratic Party?

I did.

The nonsense you posted about Trump and the 'long game' is hilarious.
Especially given that he has the attention span of a gnat

trump turned a million dollars into a billion dollar empire becoming one of the richest real estate gurus in the history of the world. Imagine the effort it would take just to double that amount of money with investing. think he stumbled into that?

then he took on the political establishment with a stacked field and demolished them, candidates like jeb with a 100 million dollar war chest. The vast majority of the media was against him and he clobbered his way through that as well.

He managed to get Michigan, penn, and Wisconsin when no other republican could do that in decades. He did this by appealing to poor working class white people when he is a billionaire from new york.

He dabbles in bizarre shenanigans all the time to keep bamboozling the media, look up the whole john miller thing.

Not to mention likely being the one that made maddow look like a complete dumbass with the recent tax thing.

Trump is absolutely a genius.
We could all turn a million into a billion if:
We didn't pay contractors.

We were all allowed to default on almost $1billion in personal debt as a part of the bankruptcy agreement.

And it was tens of millions he borrowed from daddy...and then got many more in the inheritance.

trump took multiple bankrupcies. That would show he is ok with short term losses. If he was as you described he would have continued to funnel money into losing projects.
He doesn't have any money of his own to funnel, or he might have.

You can be sure that there is a shitload of arm twisting and good old fashioned threats going on in the background.

Probably, but nobody's afraid of trump. They don't care about his 37% support. That's not enough to mount a primary challenge, and the Kochs have already said they'd support any sitting House member who votes against that ridiculous bill.

It's so easy to be a brain dead lying liberal on steroids; you just spout off stupidity and pretend that it is fact.
