How to piss off your republican friends or fiends!

1) True... a christian socialist

2) True... however if you believe that, you also believe he is the son of God, pretty sure that if we had the son of God here today, we could truly give away stuff for 'free' as he would use his supernatural powers to heal the world.

3) True
4) True
5) True... but this pisses off SOME Southerners (Rep and Dem). In general, Republicans don't care.

6) Perhaps in reference to their time, but in comparison to today, they would be conservatives.

7) True to an extent, it is considered a far right extremist position, but look at the two countries in WWII that were run by fascists... you really think those compare to our right?

8) Not really. That is simply how the left treats women that are conservative.

9) Pure nonsense to pretend that Republicans think the Earth is flat

10) Reagan did raise some taxes, but not on income... he raised the 'sin' taxes, he cut loopholes to the wealthy, but income taxes he reduced

11) Yes, at a time when abortion was becoming a national issue. He did not have the votes to over turn a veto, so he tried to restrict the language to only allow abortions in the cases of rape, incest or when the mothers health was an issue. He regretted how the latter was abused by doctors and patients

12) True

13) True

14) LMAO... yes, the earth has warmed... no one denies that. What is debatable is MAN's contribution. Fear mongers on the left pretend it is Man driving climate change. Yet they refuse to address why it is that despite the CO2 increases of the past 15 years, the earth has not continued to get warmer.

15) False. This is just hate filled rhetoric from the left.

I find your comment on 15 a bit baffling. On my reading of their posts, the Republicans hate everyone, and believe they have a moral duty to pay as little as possible for any work. Perhaps they employ immigrants and don't pay them?

How to piss of liberals...

Point out that the Son of God Jebus the Almighty Sinslayer did it for free, on his own time, dedicating his life, and without government intervention or help. In fact Jebus the Almighty Sinslayer had one real run-in with Big government and they (Big Government) killed the Son of God Jebus the Almighty Sinslayer. I'm pretty sure the lesson here is that Big Government kills those who would do good for free, without force, and without needing one dime in taxes, even if they are 1/3 of God, and the Almighty Sinslayer Jebus Himself.

Jesus, as you know, was a socialist. Good luck with the eye of the needle, kiddo!

and he would not have fought with them if they were democratically elected and helping make sure all people were fed and housed.

The function of socialism is to raise suffering to a higher level.

— Norman Mailer

Socialism is the only system for nationalising compassion so that individuals may be done with it.

— William Ferraiolo

Why do you think that supporting government programs is the only way to express compassion?

It isn't, but we all know that reactionary 'charity' is just a way to 'discipline', torture and insult those they have robbed, the sick buggers!

Not true. Jesus, according to the bible, lived long before the conception of socialist thought. He may have been posthumously identified with a socialist ethos, but he wasn't (to my knowledge) in line with socialist economic and social theory.

If you want to criticize socialism, do it. Don't simply reference these ad homs.

Jesus was the founder of socialist thought, as you know. If you can read, look up the way the early Church was organised - it is in Acts. It must be sad to be so brainwashed that you are not allowed to see the obvious.

Luke 19:11-27:

11 While the people were listening to these things, Jesus proceeded to tell a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear immediately. 12 Therefore he said, “A nobleman went to a distant country to receive for himself a kingdom and then return. 13 And he summoned ten of his slaves, gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business with these until I come back.’ 14 But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to be king over us!’ 15 When he returned after receiving the kingdom, he summoned these slaves to whom he had given the money. He wanted to know how much they had earned by trading. 16 So the first one came before him and said, ‘Sir, your mina has made ten minas more.’ 17 And the king said to him, ‘Well done, good slave! Because you have been faithful in a very small matter, you will have authority over ten cities.’ 18 Then the second one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has made five minas.’ 19 So the king said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’ 20 Then another slave came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina that I put away for safekeeping in a piece of cloth. 21 For I was afraid of you, because you are a severe man. You withdraw what you did not deposit and reap what you did not sow.’ 22 The king said to him, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked slave! So you knew, did you, that I was a severe man, withdrawing what I didn’t deposit and reaping what I didn’t sow? 23 Why then didn’t you put my money in the bank, so that when I returned I could have collected it with interest?’ 24 And he said to his attendants, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has ten.’ 25 But they said to him, ‘Sir, he has ten minas already!’ 26 ‘I tell you that everyone who has will be given more, but from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 27 But as for these enemies of mine who did not want me to be their king, bring them here and slaughter them in front of me!’”

Sounds like a capitalist to me...

Matthew 25:13-30

13 “Therefore stay alert, because you do not know the day or the hour. 14 For it is like a man going on a journey, who summoned his slaves and entrusted his property to them. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The one who had received five talents went off right away and put his money to work270 and gained five more. 17 In the same way, the one who had two gained two more. 18 But the one who had received one talent went out and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money in it. 19 After a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled his accounts with them. 20 The one who had received the five talents came and brought five more, saying, ‘Sir, you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’ 21 His master answered, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful in a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 22 The one with the two talents also came and said, ‘Sir, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more.’ 23 His master answered, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful with a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 24 Then the one who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Sir, I knew that you were a hard man, harvesting where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’ 26 But his master answered, ‘Evil and lazy slave! So you knew that I harvest where I didn’t sow and gather where I didn’t scatter? 27 Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received my money back with interest! 28 Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten. 29 For the one who has will be given more, and he will have more than enough. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 30 And throw that worthless slave into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth’”

Sounds like more capitalism...

Get through the eye of a needle, Pharisee, after you've read the parable of Dives and Lazarus.

:rofl2:

It worked, mention guns and bibles and liberals go nuts.

Liberals go nuts? How quickly you guys forget. It wasn't liberals who freaked out over Obama's 2008 comment.

"And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

This is what you get when you hve idiots interpreting the Bible literally!

The verse he cited was a parable.

It is not promoting Capitalism.

A priest would give him a stern look or a slap across the face as I saw observed one time for that answer.

Unlike you I lived in 1970s Britain where socialism was very real, I have no wish to return to those dark days. I have also extensively travelled through many former socialist/communist countries in Eastern Europe, especially in the early 90s when the yoke of oppression had just been lifted.
