How the Nomination will play out!

Newt has one a Primary, his own backward state.

Santorum has won a few.

Romney is on solid path to the nomination. As he said it would take an act of God to prevent him from getting the nomination.

Romney will not begin the process of backtracking on his extreem right positions. He will change words that moderate his position. I suspect he will stop saying "Repeal Obamacare" and start saying "Repair Healthcare". He will try to backtrack on his support for the Paul Ryan Medicare plan. He will begin to moderate on his position relating to the budget.

If Romney gets too much flack and starts losing support from the right wing for the moderation of his policies he will choose Rick Santorum or someone like him for VP in an attempt to rescue the campaign. If Romney gets plenty of support and the right wing is shorn up dispite his moderation, he will choose a moderate for VP and be more likely to win.

This is simply my take on the situation, I am sure Dixie is still sure Newt or Satinorum will get the nomination.

What are your thoughts on how it will play out from here?

[FONT=verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif]there is no way santorum gets a vp slot. Most republicans will vote for whoever is nominated because they are racist and hate obama. Romney does not need santorum. It will just end up alienating moderates and independents, the people that truly make or break elections.

So you see Romney picking a moderate? Kinda like McCain did?

I don't know if palin was really perceived as a moderate.

I am not sure who Romney will pick atm, I just know it can't be santorum. Romney will probably go with someone that gives him some blue collar, middle class cred, that helps to generate some additional enthusiasm but doesn't alienate independents and women like santorum does.

There is a Republican who matches that description?

Romney doesn't have a draw on them, at least not enough of one over Obama.

What about Ron Paul?

on moderates and independents? yes he does. he's crushing with moderates in the republican primaries, and he WON FUCKING MASSACHUSETTS as governor. Why this goes over peoples heads I'll never understand. Romney has very broad appeal.

Rubio has the office next to mine. He used a Republican party credit card to have his back waxed. His house was also bei g forclosed upon.
