How the Baby Boomers Ruined Everything....

I would say the majority of boomers are either Dem or Rep. Neither of those actually elect a POTUS. If you don't want to accept that, then simply research those who chose not to vote in this election, by age.

So, you are going to hold those who didn't vote responsible for the outcome?

Boomers are the largest "block" aren't they? And we know seniors vote more than any other group so while I don't have numbers in front of me it reasons boomers voted for him in the largest group

No...millennials are. By your logic millennials got Trump elected then.

Clinton lost the campaign..there really isn't any other way to look at it.
She had every demographic and electoral advantage going for her..money too.

She was such a sure thing she took a lot of time off from campaigning while Trump held rallies

We know for a fact seniors aka boomers votes in a much higher percentage than Millenials. So of the people who voted boomers voted for Trump the most. Those are the numbers not an opinion. No idea why Althea is arguing against that fact.

Because elections are never decided by the Left/Right. Why are you arguing against that fact.

Clinton's team erroneously counted Obama's demographics as a given. They stayed home.

Correct. Many of them would have voted for Bernie. As well, many who voted for trump, were Bernie supporters. That doesn't bode well for the claim in the OP

Maybe we are arguing two different things then because the Boomers voted in the largest voting block and thus had the most influence over the election.

So, to get this straight... People who voted = Not responsible for election outcome. People who did not vote = Totally, like, totally responsible for election outcome

Is that about right?

Correct. trump's claims notwithstanding, turnout was pallid. At least 42% of eligible voters refused to vote. Further, many who voted for trump would have voted for Bernie. Those aren't boomers. Those who turned out twice for Obama, refused to turn out for Hillary in order to teach the DNC a lesson.

They allowed trump to win, even though the majority of the country didn't want him in the White House.

Not sure how I can make this any simpler for you?

I'm sure they were split evenly between the two candidates. How many boomers wasted a vote on the two other candidates? How many boomers didn't vote at all?

That doesn't pass the smell test either as Trump lost the popular vote.

That won't happen, but neither will the fix.

Ideally what would happen is every under 35 gets the option to opt out, everyone 36-65 would have the option to have what they paid in to SS stuffed into a 401k or ETF at a rate of $0.35 per dollar, and everyone 66+ has to stick with SS.

Every election, the losers blame non-voters and third party voters for their losses. It's an old meme and gets recycled every election.

:dunno:

That's not a fix. That's nonsense. Raise the income of FICA liability to $250k/year.
