Man it's amazing how things have changed on the political spectrum in my life. In 1976 it was the Dems that were on the lunatic fringe, populated with nut jobs and wackos, circular firing squads and and represented screwed up governement and it was the Republicans that represented competent, efficient government.

Now it's the Republicans that represent bad governence and are loaded with nut jobs, wackos and circular firing squads.

The sad part is that there are some very good Republican public figures out there and they are being dragged down by the nutjobs.
