The Almighty
First Obama is on this morning giving his pep-talk teleprompter speech to the Auto workers union.

Now Obama is on giving a similar pep-talk speech to the AFL-CIO.

Does he actually work or does he just go around the country giving canned speeches to his most die hard supporters?

Is he hurting so bad now that he is already campaigning for 2012?
 
At least if he's concentrating on giving speeches he's not doing any actual meddling, such as escalating an unpopular war.

More speeches please, Mr Obamas.

It is not the fact that he is giving a speech it is the fact that is all he appears to be doing.

He was just on national TV giving his pro-Obamacare speech. Now he has to go out to his various union lobbyists and do the same again? Are there no other more important issues he has to address?

That's an illogical question. No one can prove a negative. The bill would have to be passed and deficits occur due to it before you can call him a liar. For example. I believe in evolution by natural selection as a demonstrable fact and would teach it as such but just because there are still retrognatic mouth breathers like Dixie and SR doesn't make me a liar.

I can understand how ex bushies would feel that Obama's speech count was excessive considering how many Bush had given at this point in his presidency.
 
If it was working I might understand better, but really... it seems kind of sad. Like watching McCain campaign.

Given that NONE of the five versions is deficit neutral and the fact that NO changes to correct that have been proposed, it is entirely misleading to be out stating that there will be no increase in the deficit. If Obama wants to actually put forth a way to accomplish this goal and then wants to push for it to be included in the bill, then that would be different. But thus far he has done no such thing. He simply keeps stating their will be no increase and his adoring masses lap it up.

He is deliberately misleading the American public based on the 5 versions now available. As I recall, when Bush deliberately mislead the public that equated to a lie. Has that suddenly changed now that the President has a (D) after his name?

I was upset because so many actually believed his lies.
And many still do to this day. ie. Iraq was responsible for 911.

I expect politicians to lie, I realize I have unrealistic expectaions about the public not being stupid though.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. I think it's over 100 speeches now. People are geting tired of seeing him...same ole thing.

It is expected for a politician to tell lies. And that is damn sad.

But I get mad when based on the subject matter of the lie. The fact that Clinton lied about getting a blowjob didn't make me mad.

Bush lying about WMDs and Obama lying about his healthcare plan both make me mad.
