Trump has been chickening out of implementing his global trade war and most of his tariffs.
The fact that Trump ended up doing what I wanted him to do - back down from a global trade war - is what has shielded the economy until now. All previous predictions about economic damage were based on the assumptions you can trust what Trump says he is going to do, and that he wouldn't chicken out.

So far Trump hasn't hurt the economy as much as he would IF he ever puts his tariffs on but he has already done some damage.
We lost two major auto makers , they pulled out of the US completely . Ford is shutting down a lot of production, and has raised their prices slowing sales, so has GM .
He has hurt longshoremen , Truckers, Retail workers and more.
And has done all this and more without putting ALL his tariffs in place wait till he does IF he ever does.
It is going to be a real shit show and when it comes back and bites the MAGA in the ass they will cry like babies.
