Was looking for a used car to replace the one stolen by illegals and found a dealer where the prices on the windshield looked very low - like 1/4 what they should be. Turns out that's the down payment!! I haven't bought a car in 10 years so maybe this tactic is common now, but i don't like it. Price means price not down payment.

Well first of all I'm not sure what else you expect from used car salesmen? After congressmen they are the next lowest forms of life on the planet.

What does buying a used car have to do with a windshield?

If you want a good used car simply purchase one from a rental company.

You know they are maintained correctly plus you get the maintenance history of the car.

They don't really cost more than used cars off a dealership.

Well first of all I'm not sure what else you expect from used car salesmen? After congressmen they are the next lowest forms of life on the planet.

No, they are not. I've bought all my cars and trucks from used car dealers and i've been pleased with every purchase.
